Hello, I Need These Sneakers, That Is All

I'm a newly converted sneaker fan. Previously I just didn't get the hype, fast forward to recent months and my saved collection is filled with sneaker releases and old classics both of which I've grown very, very, fond of. There's just something undeniably cool and simultaneously chic about a pair of good kicks, and with this, in mind, I've curated a list of my current "I need these shoes right now" to share with you in the chance that you too might just need to have 'em.

Happy shopping!

Nike

Daybreak / $160

Originally released in 1979, the Nike Daybreak sports a classic running shoe nylon/suede upper construction, atop a flared EVA midsole, a mix of simple good looks accommodating ever improving technology that characterized the era’s running shoe design.”

Adidas

Falcon W / $150

“In 2019, there is no more expedient point of convergence for high fashion, street style and youth culture than athletic wear. Fiorucci have teamed up with Adidas to bring their signature brand of fun loving, attention grabbing, youthful elegance to a capsule collection of women’s footwear and apparel.”

Reebok

x Pleasures CLUB C 85 / $100

“Reebok and Pleasures capture the mash up spirit that birthed things like rap-metal and rock and jock softball games on MTV, with a new capsule that explores the intersection of light and dark.”

Adidas

Keith Haring Crystal / $100

“Adidas caps off their Pride Month 2019 celebrations with a capsule pack celebrating the work of legendary artist Keith Haring. Three footwear silhouettes, the Rivalry Hi, Nizza Hi, and Stan Smith, along with three t-shirt colorways feature the signature graffiti style, blocky outline figures, bringing an exuberant, playful, graphic sensibility to these Adidas classics.”

Karhu

Aria / $130

“Serious runners and running shoe enthusiasts are already well acquainted with Karhu, being that it is one of the oldest sneaker brands on the map, but for the uninitiated, Finland’s flagship sneaker manufacturer is a legendary name in the world of athletics.”

Asics

GEL-KAYANO 5 OG / $120

“Originally launched in 1999, the GEL-KAYANO® 5 model finally makes its return. The silhouette maintains the iconic original details and it's legendary comfort with an even lighter weight. The shoe features classic 90's aesthetic: a bulky silhouette, heavy use of overlays, aggressive tiger stripe branding and bold, directional tooling, including the original trusstic technology.”
