How a Former Celebrity Stylist Launched Her Own Sustainable Boutique in L.A.

Former celebrity stylist Dechel McKillian went from working with clients like Drake, Nicki Minaj, Fergie, and Lionel Richie to opening her own sustainable boutique in DTLA. Having travelled the world with some of the biggest artists in the world, Dechel saw how fashion can negatively impact people and our beautiful planet. She was inspired to use what she learned as a stylist to present fashion without sacrificing the environment and launched GALERIE.LA.

With a mission to bring socially conscious fashion to the masses, Dechel has built a community of like-minded designers and actively participates in talks to promote sustainable practices. Her boutique uses a highly curated process that fits within their six core values: artisan, eco-friendly, ethical, local, recycled and vegan. Even more, Dechel and her team always disclose where the items are made and the materials used to create each one.

GALERIE.LA has proven that sustainable products still have the elevated and timeless design that we’re all seeking in the brands we currently shop. The boutique carries womenswear and accessories ranging from bags, jewelry, dresses, swimwear and more. It’s hard not to find something unique so we put together a list of our favorite items exclusively at GALERIE.LA.
