About CURIO:

We believe that supporting local small businesses is a better way to shop. Our platform was created for discerning individuals seeking quality products with authentic stories. It’s highly curated to help our audience discover the best brands & boutiques across the U.S.

As the Editor-in-Chief you’ll work across all aspects of the business and will be a core influence on the brand’s success.

What we’re looking for:

A writer & editor with an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to grow a brand and build a network of contributing writers. This position can be remote and does not necessarily need to be in Los Angeles but being in LA is a plus.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience writing and editing in fashion or beauty

  • A passion for telling authentic stories about founders and brands

  • Familiarity with Squarespace and Mailchimp

  • Curious with a constant desire to learn more and make an impact

  • Desire to play a hands-on role and steer the direction of a newly established brand

  • Can work independently and is a self-starter

  • Desire to grow as both an EIC and business person by helping identify a new business model and implementing new strategies

  • Work with the founder to create impactful business partnerships

  • Desire to identify and curate the best boutiques & brands across the U.S.

  • Has freelance or other paid work in the short-term as this is an equity-based role to start
